Greg Staats is an amazing artist and is Skarù:reˀ [Tuscarora], Hodinöhsö:ni from Six Nations of the Grand River and living in Tkaronto/Toronto. He lives with his heart on his sleeve so it seemed natural to focus on his journey as a human as much as his journey as an artist in this profile for the 2024 Governor General Award. We filmed most of this near his childhood home on Six Nations land, a place that he is forever thinking about.
