I shot this film with Matt Bahen over the summer of 2022. He's seems to devour books and his painting are inspired by what he reads, which these days is a lot of sci-fi novels that deal directly and indirectly with ideas of life and loss in an age of increasing environmental chaos in the climate crisis. He smashes together almost dissonant landscapes into these amazing paintings that look beautiful in some alarming way. Always fun to get into someone's mind and to then try to illustrate their thoughts somehow.
